BSL Railway Pioneers Tour

Join art guide Martin Glover for a British Sign Language (BSL) tour of the S&DR200 Railway Pioneers exhibition at Hopetown Darlington.

On display is Locomotion No. 1, designed and driven by George Stephenson on the historical first journey in 1825, Penydarren, designed by Richard Trevithick in 1804 and Steam Elephant, designed by John Buddle and William Chapman in 1815.

Martin will lead you through the history and significance of these three iconic locomotives, as well as giving an overview of Hopetown Darlington and North Road Station Museum.

This tour is recommended for over-16s.
